Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using rrrider (the "Service"), operated by Michael Aschauer EI, 9 rue des colonnes, 75002 Paris, France (the "Operator", "we"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

rrrider is a virtual indoor-cycling application: you ride GPS courses rendered on planetary terrain built from open NASA/ESA data, optionally connecting a smart trainer over Web Bluetooth (FTMS). The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).

4. Plans, billing & refunds

The Service offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Creem (creem.io), who handles checkout, billing, taxes and invoicing; your purchase is also subject to Creem's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from your account (Manage subscription → the Creem customer portal). Prices are shown inclusive/exclusive of tax as indicated at checkout. Refunds are handled per Creem's policy and applicable EU/French consumer law.

The full application is open-source (AGPL-3.0 — GNU Affero General Public License) and may be self-hosted at no charge; the paid plan covers the hosted Service.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the hosted infrastructure, no infringement of others' rights, and no automated bulk access beyond documented APIs.

6. Your content

Courses, rides and activities you create remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the Service. You can export (GPX/FIT) and delete your data, including deleting your account, at any time.

7. Intellectual property & third-party data

The rrrider software is provided under its open-source licence. Terrain and imagery derive from third parties (NASA, USGS, ESA/DLR, Copernicus, Esri) under their respective terms and attributions (see the About page). Their data remains subject to those terms.

8. Disclaimers & liability

Indoor training carries physical risk; consult a physician before strenuous exercise. To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties, and our liability is limited as permitted by applicable French law. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes & termination

We may update the Service and these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes fall under the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
